CRE8US Learning Changes Pilot Programme

Learning Changes Pilot Programme
An invitation to participate in a unique school improvement programme
What is the Learning Changes Pilot Programme?
Learning Changes is a 5 half days tailor made programme designed to help you transform your school through creativity. It is offered by Cre8us, the Coventry based organisation delivering the Creative Partnerships programme to schools in the sub-region. The programme is supported by school improvement advisers in the three Local Authorities, Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire.
Can it make a difference to my school?
The programme is aimed at schools in all phases. Creative strategies can be tailored to address a range of challenges, for example, the transformation of the curriculum, approaches to teaching and learning, leadership and management, the school’s role in the wider community etc.
Who delivers the programme in the school?
The Learning Changes programme is delivered by a team of CRE8US Creative Agents, trained and experienced in the application of their skills and knowledge to children’s learning and staff development. The programme is coordinated by CRE8US and Mathilda Joubert, international education consultant, working closely with Local Authority school improvement advisers.
How much does it cost and how do the costs break down?
The school contributes £5000 – half of the actual cost to run the programme
How does the programme differ from the Creative Partnerships ‘Change’ and ‘Enquiry’ programmes?
The programme distils learning and experience of generating significant change through these programmes. However whilst Creative Partnerships typically engages one Creative Agent, this programme provides the benefit of a collective team of change management consultants to work with you in very focused time boxed way to develop and address your strategic intentions for school change and improvement.
What outcomes can I expect from the programme?
The school has been supported in finding creative solutions to the challenge(s) it set out to resolve and has accumulated a range of creative strategies to sustain improvements in its performance.
Children, young people and the community benefit from and recognise the value of and opportunities presented by creativity in education.
The school recognises and can articulate, in its self-evaluation, the way it uses creativity to enhance its provision.
How do I get involved?
Talk to your Local Authority representative in the first instance, or talk directly to Jo Trowsdale, Director of CRE8US. For further information click here

WEAVE at Whitnash Primary School

The WEAVE creative recycling resource for schools, pre-schools further education and community groups is an exciting initiative linking arts and education. WEAVE has opened a new world of creative possibilities for Warwickshire's schools and communities. The project was inspired by visits to the ReMida Recycling Centre in the municipality of Reggio Emilia in Northern Italy, which promotes the idea that waste materials can be resources.
The new phase of the creative recycling project sees us with new premises, a new name but the same bold vision for creativity and learning. Weaving the best of the CREATES project into this phase is an exciting prospect for the team at WEAVE. As we continue to develop and expand the services we offer we have increased the diversity of our partners, and encouraged new links with local business. We are also offering a wider range of opportunities for our members as we develop our workshop programme and expand our focus across the curriculum.
WEAVE actively encourages children and young people to find new ways of re-using waste materials, promoting a positive attitude towards recycled goods, and encouraging new opportunities for communication and creativity. A wide range of materials from huge cardboard tubes, to small shiny plastic shapes, donated by businesses and industry can now be used to inspire young minds and ignite fascinating creativity in the classroom and beyond.
